Lupe Fiasco - What U Want

Two more Lupe Fiasco leaks. “What U Want” was confirmed by Lupe to be a track off his upcoming album Lasers. Unfortunately, I’m not really blown away by this one. What y’all think about this one?

Lupe Fiasco - Lean

Some new Lupe. Well…new Lupe in a since that it is a unreleased track from 2001. Fake Shore Drive spoils rumors were that it was a leaked track of L.A.S.E.R.S.

This track leaked about a month ago and Lupe and Atlantic Records went all nuts about it. I guess they have sent out this final and mastered version of the track as a possible first single for Lupe’s new album which is set to drop (hopefully) earlier than later in 2010.

This dropped on Thanksgiving but between all the Holiday action and making the transition to a new computer I’m slacking hardcore. Back up to date and I need to bring this one to the top. Lupe does it again.

Lupe also announced he has a another mixtape dropping on Christmas Day titled Friends of The People. MTV should leave Lupe off their list every year.

Even this unreleased cut from Kid CuDi in 2007 is dope as hell. I like everything this dude does for some reason. Beat is dope, verses and hook are nice as well.

Production comes from a producer named Omen - who I guess is doing the first single off Drake’s new album.

Lupe Fiasco - Shining Down ft. Matthew Santos

It’s funny cause I was just at Twins vs. Cubs came at Wrigley this past weekend and Chicago via Minneapolis singer Matthew Santos actually sang the National Anthem. Santos name may look familiar as he was on Lupe’s biggest hit “Superstar” off Lupe’s album The Cool a couple years ago. I started to think when an actual track off Lupe’s upcoming album We Are Lasers would leak. Sure enough I was reading some Twitter posts later than afternoon that a track was set to drop this week. Sure enough it did and here we have the very first leak off Lupe Fiasco’s highly anticapted third album.

I must say as usual - lovin me some new Lupe.

FINALLY! I’ve been bumpin this track non-stop since it dropped on the Fake Shore Drive mixtape but the good folks over at SketchesOfMySoul just dropped the NO DJ version of the track. Originally this is just an unreleased Lupe track, seeing the light of day. Dope sample and dope verses. Apparently another Lupe track titled “Shining Down” might be dropping this week? Keep an eye out. Lupe’s new album titled, Lasers is set to drop in the forth quater of this year.
