I’ve been a fan of these three ever since they dropped their Supply & Demand mixtape last year. I knew as soon as these guys filled me in on the mixtape that it was going to be something special. Donnis chops it up with the good folks over at illRoots.com while he was in town playing a show at Lincoln Hall.

Donnis came out to Chicago a couple weeks ago to perform at Lincoln Hall for Jugrnaut’s Pop Them Thangs event. While there, Mike Carson and I rolled over to his hotel the next day where he was shooting a music video for ‘Yupp’, a track off his upcoming mixtape. We chopped it up before the shoot started, talking about everything from making the 2010 XXL Freshman list, his debut album on Atlantic Records, working with Fools Gold, how being in the military affected his music and more.

Assuming I won’t get much blogging in the next day or two I decided to save the Sugar Tongue Slim post and the following post as my final posting for the day. I want these two tracks to sit up top and really marinate.

So many times I hear tracks by artists and think that if this actually got played on the radio….it would be a fuckin hit. But who listens to the radio anyway…This is one of those times…another banger that is a perfect soundtrack for when the shots get poured on a Thursday night.

No joke - this beat knocks and THREE’s flow will certainly keep you rowdy past 2AM. Would I lie to you guys? Throw it on this weekend’s playlist and tell me if it lets you down.

Other than that…this is the first time I’ve heard THREE. This Houston/LA martian rapper has a mixtape titled Galaxy Dreamer on the way. Head to his MySpace if ya want more.
